    'To be the beacon of hope against cancer' is the motto of Indian Cancer Society (ICS).

    In this episode, we have representatives of ICS - Ms.Kanchan Bannerjee (Honorary Secretary) and Dr.Guru Suhas P (Manager, Medical Screening) joining our discussion.

    As per a report from National Cancer Registry Programme, as many as 1.39 million people in India (1,392,179) had cancer in 2020 and it is projected to increase to 1.57 million by 2025.

    It is estimated that 1 in 9 Indians will develop cancer during their lifetime. The projected 5 most common cancers in 2020 for males (lung, mouth, prostate, tongue, and stomach) constitute 36% of all cancers and for females (breast, cervix uteri, ovary, corpus uteri, and lung) constitute 53% of all cancers.

    The time to take action is RIGHT NOW!

    Join us as we discuss interesting topics such as -

    1) Debunking myths about cancer

    2) Mental health and support for cancer patients and family members

    3) Dealing with side effects of cancer treatment and medication

    4) How organisations and individuals can contribute to 'Rise Against Cancer'

    and much more
