Once God starts a work in you and fills you with the Holy Spirit, He takes you on a journey. The baptism in the Holy Spirit will empower you to handle any situation in life. How we treat our parents matters to God. When we honour our mothers, we honour God. In this Mother's Day sermon, Pastor Kong Hee shares four practical ways we can honour our mothers—going out of the way to make them feel loved and appreciated!

Seeking God requires the believer to draw near to Him by diligently abiding in His Word and in His presence. When we draw near to God with a sincere heart and confident faith, He will draw close to us, strengthen us, provide for us, and anoint us in every area of our lives.

When a race begins, the race car driver will accelerate to full speed and for the rest of the race will “never lift” his foot off the gas pedal. That is how the Holy Spirit is in our lives, pouring out His grace and mercy—and He will “never lift”! As believers, we sometimes don’t feel the presence of God when we experience trials and tests of faith. Yet, we have the confidence of knowing that our God will always see us through. He never lifts!

In the midst of all the noise that may surround us to distract us from the truth of God’s Word, we need to learn how to contend for our faith. The way we can build up our most holy faith is by praying in the Holy Spirit, keeping ourselves in God’s love, and by waiting for the mercy of our Lord Jesus. Let’s be strong and bold as we lean on God’s promises; knowing that He is always watching over us and guiding us.

In Psalm 23, David declared that even though he walked through a valley-experience, God’s two attributes of goodness and mercy would surely chase him down, pursue him, and overtake him. God’s irrevocable love reaches down to us; and He promises to never leave us nor forsake us. We are the object of God’s relentless pursuit, His love, and grace!
