New York will always be a second home to me. When Devon died, I stopped coming for a while because it was too painful.

This time felt different. I spent 2 hours meditating at @kadampanyc

I took a dip in the Roman baths at @aireancientbaths_us

And of course a visit wouldn’t be the same without a show on Broadway. @mjthemusical

There’s an energy from this place that just ignites my spirit. I pray I get to experience this feeling forever.

I played small

I’ve always played small. I’ve always second guessed myself and my abilities. I talked about not looking to the left and to the right of you but I ALWAYS did. I compared myself to others. I was envious and I played small.

I’d be the person standing in the back of a room because I was afraid of being seen. Now, when it was time or unavoidable that I would be seen, I’d step into my Sasha Fierce version of Beyonce and get the job done. I would mostly shrink.
