Welcome back to our podcast.  This afternoon, I will be sharing my top three (3) takeaways from reading this book.  I decided to keep this short in respect to time and to allow the book to speak to you differently.

Thank you again for supporting this channel.  I hope you get a lot of value from your ten minutes spent on this platform.

3 Valuable Lessons I Learned from Itaewon Class

3 Valuable Lessons I Learned from Itaewon Class

Anyeong! Haha.  Today's episode is quite different because we're taking lessons from unusual and unexpected sources -  K-DRAMA!

For today's episode, we will be featuring Itaewon Class.  I've been recommending this to my officemates and friends.  Lately, I am very selective on Korean shows to watch.  And this K-drama surely did not fail me.  This has dominated the world of social media because of its good reviews but allow me to share from my own personal experience why this series is worth watching.  I'll be sharing with you top 3 valuable lessons that I learned from watching this series.  Enjoy!

3 Reasons Why You Must Surround Yourself with People Smarter and Different From You.

3 Reasons Why You Must Surround Yourself with People Smarter and Different From You.

Hello guys! We are back after more than three (3) weeks of inactivity.  Since I missed all of you, kindly excuse today's episode being a little over ten (10) minutes and full of "so...", "uhmmm...", "uh..."'s.  I feel like a newbie again.  Haha.

I recorded something relevant and packed with different lessons and realizations during my quarantine life.  Haha.  Ever get the feeling that you don't belong?  So when you found a group or a clique, you tend to stick to it and eventually find it difficult to detach yourself and explore other cliques as well?  Well, let me tell you that you can; objectively and purposefully.

Now that we are blessed with a more accessible platform on meeting new people, we can practice doing so, but within the bounds of discretion and careful scrutiny.  Your objective in expanding your connections must be clear and your purpose must be paramount so you will not be swayed into groups that do not add value to your life, or worse, make your life miserable and unproductive.  I hope this podcast helped you on how to start surrounding yourself with smarter and different personalities.  Enjoy!

Thanks again for the support you have been giving to this podcast despite weeks of silence.  Haha.  I have lots of topics lined up.  Stay safe, stay empowered, and stay engaged!

Timeless Pursuits In the New Normal

Timeless Pursuits In the New Normal

What is something that is pre-COVID that you’d like to carry forward to this thing called “new normal”? Personally, I have so many realizations on things that I no longer want to do/be as we face the new norm. And surprisingly, what I’d like to carry forward are basic or the most foundational things that I have neglected and if not for the pandemic, might still be discarded and set aside until now. Before we rush and think of new ways to adapt to the New Normal, let us keep on reminding ourselves with the basics or timeless pursuits.  This way, we can act more purposefully and effectively in our work, relationships, community, and life in general.  I'd like to thank David Bonifacio, CEO of Bridge Southeast for coming up with the term "timeless pursuits" which I (based on my own understanding) was able to connect to my reflections as early as the lockdown began.
These might be common platitudes and principles, but nevertheless true and important.
Thanks again for spending your 10 minutes with me.  God bless you all.

P.S.  I apologize for any vehicle engine that you can hear.  Still searching for a good sound-filtering gadget and perhaps a quality microphone. ☺️

Reading vs. Reading With a Purpose

Reading vs. Reading With a Purpose

Ever since lockdown was implemented, I had a significant amount of time to read and read well.  I noticed that I have tons of hardbound books shelved and untouched for quite a while, I cannot remember why I bought them in in the first place.  I realized that the purpose of reading (self-help) books goes way deeper than I thought.  It requires skill, patience, and foundations to start reading critically and intentionally.
I recently summarized the learnings I encountered in my own personal reading journey.  I hope this will help you like it is currently helping me.  I purposely draft, record, and edit this podcast to fit the ten (10) minute mandatory time frame I gave to myself.  Nothing over 10 minutes lest I bore you with unnecessary and overwrought material. Thanks again for the support.
    Until our next episode...

    Hello Mistake! Hello Vulnerability!

    Hello Mistake! Hello Vulnerability!

Disclaimer:  I already recorded an episode last Saturday about productivity but ended up not publishing it for quality reasons.  The delivery and my thought-processing are just bad.  Hahaha.  Aside from the draft's failure to pass my own quality standards, I am afraid that you won't get any value from it, so I made a choice not to publish my pre-recorded podcast.

So I decided to just publish this episode where I talked about "what went wrong".  I could have done a week without any upload in this channel but I wanted to honor my commitment of giving you weekly contents that is not only valuable but raw, relevant, real and recyclable.

I hope you still enjoyed this week's episode.

See you on the next lengthy one.  Haha.
