    Terms and Conditions for Hear Our Voices’ Giveaway April 2024

    1. Hear Our Voices (HOV) known on Instagram as @nyc_hov and TikTok as @hearourvoices_, is offering ten (10) $20.00 digital gift cards and twenty (20) teddy bear flower figurines as the “Prize.”

    2. When you enter this contest, you agree to follow these terms and conditions. All “entries” must be submitted by 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time on May 9, 2024. On or after May 10, 2024, HOV will choose thirty (30) eligible winners based on the order of entries received and the winners will be notified on or after this date. Winners of the digital gift cards must be living in an NYC shelter for families with children.

    3. HOV’s giveaway is only only to U.S. residents (gift cards are specifically for NYC shelter residents for families with children). Thirty (30) winners will be chosen on a based on the order of entries received from all eligible entrants – fifteen (15) on Instagram and fifteen (15) on TikTok.

    4. No purchase is needed to participate. Entrants will not be required to pay to enter the giveaway.

    5. Entrants must be over 18 years old on the date of their entry.

    6. HOV or its affiliates’ employees or volunteers are not eligible to enter.

    7. Meta, Instagram, and TikTok are not in any way affiliated or involved in the giveaway.

    8. Only one entry per family is allowed.

    9. To enter the giveaway, 1) follow HOV on Instagram (@nyc_hov) or TikTok (@hearourvoice_) AND 2) share at least one HOV post with another account or add it to your own story. Send a Direct Message (DM) to HOV with a screenshot your share and the text “Giveaway” for verification.

    10. The Prize will be awarded to eligible winners who entered on Instagram or TikTok based on the order of entries received (gift card winners must be NYC shelter residents verified by shelter household composition letter. HOV and its affiliates will not be held liable if the named prize becomes unavailable or cannot be fulfilled.

    11. HOV and its affiliates will not be held liable for any failure of receipt of entries. HOV and its affiliates take no responsibility for any entries which are lost, delayed, illegible, corrupted, damaged, incomplete, or otherwise invalid.

    12. HOV's liability under this giveaway or these rules will be limited to the cost price of the Prize, to the extent allowed by the law.

    13. To the extent permitted by applicable law, HOV and its affiliates shall not be liable under or in connection with these terms and conditions, the competition or any Prize for any indirect, special or consequential cost, expense, loss or damage suffered by a participant even if such cost, expense, loss or damage was reasonably foreseeable or might reasonably have been contemplated by the participant and HOV and whether arising from breach of contract, tort, negligence, breach of statutory duty or otherwise.

    14. Prizes are non-negotiable, non-transferable, and non-refundable. No cash alternative is available. Where a Prize becomes unavailable for any reason, HOV reserves the right to replace it with one of equal or higher value.

    15. In addition to verification of residency in a shelter for families with children in NYC for the gift card winners, the names, shipping addresses and email addresses of the teddy bear winners must be provided to HOV to enable fulfilment of the Prize.

    16. In the event of unforeseen circumstances beyond HOV’s reasonable control, HOV reserves the right to cancel, terminate, modify, or suspend the giveaway or these terms and conditions, either in whole or in part, with or without notice.
