Joy grew up in Alderville First Nation in Southern Ontario, Canada. Her Anishinaabe culture is a huge part of her identity. She teaches menstruators about using their menstrual cycles as a health tool and to achieve or avoid pregnancy. She strives to make fertility, cervical mucus, vagina's and uterus' fun and talked about openly. She believes in using your fertility to your advantage instead of fearing it!
