Journalistikk med J

Jepp, dette er ORDENTLIG kritisk journalistikk. Meget bra. Dyptpløyende, nøyaktig og objektivt.

Essential part of any healthy podcast diet.

Intercepted is the first podcast launched by the Intercept, perhaps the most important source of reliable and hard-hitting investigative journalism. For those of us who’s followed Jeremy Scahill since his days at Democracy Now, and seen the Oscar nominated documentary Dirty Wars, it is great to have Scahill back in the role of broadcaster.

Intercepted features extended discussions and deep dives into important and current topics that often are overlooked or only superficially covered in the mainstream media before drowning in noise and relentless speed of the news cycle. It is a welcome development to see (or in this case hear) that the Intercept and Scahill has managed to take advantage of the Intercepts of great journalism as a foundation of the informed perspective Scahill, one of the organizations founding editors, brings to bear in every released episode of Intercepted.

The critical, well informed and and thoughtfulness of Scahill as a reporter runs through the entire podcast. It is evident in every aspect of the podcast: from the selection of topics and guests he chooses to feature. But they keep on shining through in the questions Scahill asks and his great follow ups and replies he has to the guests’ responses. It is Scahills traits, skills and insights he has gained as a critical investigative journalist and broadcaster which make the interactions between him and his guests so insightful and thought provoking.

Intercepted should be a necessary item on the informational diet by anyone who’d like to see themselves as being engaged and well informed because Intercepted provides a very different perspective of current events than any mainstream source of news.
