Grow G1 Briefly scan 1 Samuel 1-2. What dysfunctions you can identify in Samuel’s life / surroundings? Which of these do you think would have impacted him the most? G2 1 Sam 2:12-17, 22-23 Reflect on Hophni and Phinehas’ (Eli’s sons) sins. What impact do you think their actions might have had on the attitude of people around them to God? How do you think Samuel was able to keep himself unpolluted (v18)? G3 Do you know anyone who has been hurt by people in authority (including leaders in the church)? Why is it so detrimental our spiritual life when someone in spiritual authority misuses us? G4 1 Sam 3:3.
