We’re back as a trio this month and it’s a short and snappy episode where we talk about whether or not it makes sense to include your home as part of your overall investment strategy.  We discuss motivation to get into property as for many it’s the ability to build or buy their “dream home” that is the reason for doing this job.  We talk about the importance but sometimes the difficulty of getting your partner or loved ones on board with the dream and whether or not we could live in a building site while the renovations are being completed - think living in a caravan on site for 5 years while you build your “grand design” (we’ve all seen the show!).  Elsewhere there’s auction chat with a couple of our hosts confessing to not being fans…!!!  

TW: Cancer.  Susannah tells us about how she’s had cancer and cancer treatment over the last couple of years.  Thankfully she is recovered now but if this is something that you are dealing with at the moment or struggling with then we totally understand if you need to skip this episode.
In the last of our special guest episodes, we are joined by Susannah Cole, The Good Property Company all the way from sunny, stunning Barcelona (what is it with these guests swanning around foreign climes?!). As you would expect from any of guests, the topics covered are varied and wide reaching!  We discuss building up a property portfolio which allows you to take a break from working for a while, grand 5 year plans and health challenges.  As ever there are some saucy moments which include a sexually well informed hairdresser but we’ll leave you to discover these in your own time!  Despite the type of subjects covered, it’s a joyous and uplifting episode so enjoy.

In a break from our usual format, we are actually trying to be informative and relevant with this special bonus April episode.  We’re talking all things that are changing in the property market this election year!  Think Renters Reform Bill, think Permitted Development changes and changes to the licensing rules around HMOs and Serviced Accommodation and the biggie - no fault evictions!  There’s quite a lot to get your head around but the team tackle it with their usual aplomb!  And don’t worry, usual service will return next month when we’re back with another guest!!  Have a listen and as usual let us know your thoughts on our social media pages - and stay tuned right to the end for a surprise appearance by Baby Lightfoot ahhh!!!
