Neil is the man!!!

Absolutely one of the most entertaining and educating podcast out there!!! Neil somehow seems to find a way to explain astrophysics, science, engineering, etc. in simple terms without having to feel that he's dumbing it down. The eclectic collection of guests and co-hosts makes it even more enjoyable.

Kinda good, but no.

DeGrasse Tyson has a good sense of humor and obviously intelligent. However, this show has too much showmanship and ends up being neither or. Not a serious and thought provoking (and entertaining) science podcast, nor a fun and entertaining comedy show. Just a feeling if a dumb down science show (with a few jokes here and there).

I might tune in now and then, but I probably won’t. Too many other good podcasts to choose from.

Too much showmanship, too much noise

This is one of the issues with majority of US originating programs, the necessity to make it in to a show. Some may find it appealing, for others there are much better formats with clear and concise discussions and more humble delivery, for those BBC Radio 4 Infinite Monkey Cage would be a better suited podcast. Overall, this isn’t bad just too noisy and a little over the top with jokes.
