She found herself thrust into the national spotlight as all eyes turned to Dayton. And it wasn't long before she was face-to-face with President Donald Trump.

Alex Talks to Cycling Whistleblower Jonathan Vaughters

Alex Talks to Cycling Whistleblower Jonathan Vaughters

Jonathan Vaughters was a member of the famed USPS pro cycling team when his teammate Lance Armstrong won the first of a record-breaking seven straight Tours de France. While fans were awed and inspired by the victories, Jonathan knew there was something else fueling those wins: performance enhancing drugs — something the entire team was using, including himself. The deception weighed heavy on his conscience, and Jonathan found himself at a crossroads: live with the lie or come clean and become a traitor to his friends, colleagues, and the most powerful man in cycling, Lance Armstrong.

Love it!

I love the whole idea of giving us (the listeners) the insight of what its really like the be an entrepreneur. <3

Great show - waaaay too many adds...

Loved the show itself, amazing, inspirational, educational and all the great words. The content is outstanding- so recommend to everyone. But the insane drawback is adds. Like from second season - feels that adds take around 50% of the podcast... 5 min of show - 5 min of adds... on the other hand, if you don’t mind it - great listening!

Great first seasons, but changes drastically in the later seasons

I really liked the first seasons, where you followed first hand a startup. Here you get to hear pitches, discussions with investors and a real story that depicts more realistically how it is to start a startup. This is a really fresh way of learning about the startup world, compared to scholars that always speak theoretically and focus on success stories.

Unfortunately, for me at least, most of what I liked about the first seasons are now more or less gone. One of the seasons follows a woman from a minority background that’ve started an investment company. This season felt very forced, as if the podcast made the season for political correctness. I might be wrong, but as far as interesting content for people who want to learn more about the startup world, this season don’t bring a lot to the table.

The same goes for the (currently) last season about church planting. Here it might be more of a cultural issue (I’m Norwegian, and Christianity or religion at all, isn’t all that interesting over here), but I will still say that this season did not touch upon the aspects which I found most interesting in the first seasons, which focused more on how to get investors, challenges when finding a co-founder etc.

I’m still following along, and hope for more informative seasons in the future, to live up to the “startup” pod cast name!
