Dan Harris is a fidgety, skeptical ABC newsman who had a panic attack live on Good Morning America, which led him to something he always thought was ridiculous: meditation. He wrote the bestselling book, "10% Happier," started an app -- "10% Happier: Meditation for Fidgety Skeptics" -- and now, in this podcast, Dan talks with smart people about whether there's anything beyond 10%. Basically, here's what this podcast is obsessed with: Can you be an ambitious person and still strive for enlightenment (whatever that means)? New episodes every Wednesday morning.

Fantastic podcast!

Dan Harris is a great interviewer. Not blue-eyed, approaching the topic of meditation from my own skeptical perspective, but still open to learn. Very capable of saying when he disagrees with the guest, or wants them to clarify something.

He certainly gets the best out of his guests, and there are some really great guests. I loved the interviews with Leigh B. and Thupten Jinpa. I’ve learnt a lot, and keep looking forward to every episode.

The only (tiny) negative point I have is how they approached advertisement in one episode. I have no problem with ads in podcasts, but it was jarring how it suddenly switched to a “typical” radio ad in the middle of the interview. Normally in podcasts the ads are more personal, even having the host give the pitch.

Just for personal curiosity, I’d love to see some more episodes about Jhana/Access Concentration. I’ve made the most headway in my practice when including that as well, and not just Insight meditation.

Anyway, enough rambling, clearly 5 star podcast!
