Ill informed hyenas
Barely listenable. Ill-informed, opinionated in a not-so-funny way, one of the guys has an extremely annoying hyena laugh. Usually I’ll give a podcast at least two tries, but this is just so bad I didn’t make it halfway through the episode I downloaded. I’ll usually try to leave something positive for the podcasters, as it’s a lot of har work, but aside from being ad free I got nothing. Sorry
Enjoyable listen
I’ve listened to twenty-something episodes the last couple of weeks. At first I was a little sceptical, but Chris and Lee’s approach to assessing these albums are slowly growing on me. They are fairly thorough, and I particularly enjoy the talks about instruments, gear and recording techniques. They give us an overview of the artist, but I really appreciate how they place an artist/album/genre/style/approach in a bigger picture. Although I don’t always agree with their views, I must admit they still might have a point.
Through this podcast I have discovered new albums to listen to. In addition, I have found new appreciation for albums I somehow had forgotten a little. And... I will never listen to «Dressed to kill» or the first Zeppelin album the same way again...
