This psychological horror film was written and directed by Ishana Shymalan in her directorial debut, produced by her father, M. Night Shymalan and is based on the 2022 novel of the same name. The movie stars Dakota Fanning, Georgina Campell, Olwen Fouere & Oliver Finnegan. In this film, an American woman gets lost in an Irish forest that is said to be haunted by mysterious and ancient creatures that cannot be seen in the daylight. The woman and 3 others are trapped in a glass room and are being “watched” by the creatures. Despite filming during the SAG-AFTA strike, the film completed production in late 2023 and hit theaters on June 7, 2024. M. Night Shymalan fell under heavy criticism for self-financing the film despite the studios’ stance with the strike.
