What does 1KID Represent?
My username on many social platforms is 1kid/onekid.
i wanted to take the time to explain why?
to be honest ive had this username for a long time especially when having an
online presence, specifically gaming.
it all started with the super fun game Poptropica which I was suprised and happy
to learn was still online. I did forget my password and sent an email to see
if i could recover the account BUT either way that is one of my earliest
memories.
fast foward i always used that name as a nickname online.
but to me it has kinda taken a life of its own.
to me 1kid/onekid represents someones/a sole individuals ability to accomplish all
that they want in life.
now this didn't happen because of me but i just liked the representation that
we all have dreams, we have all been a kid before and now that we are grown
sometimes we lose sight of our dreams or feel like we can't accomplish them
BUT to me we can, you can, I can achieve our dreams.
all it takes is one person, yourself to push yourself for more in life.
thats what onekid has become.
now i launched a business that is no longer online for onekid, called 1kid designs
it was a clothing brand meant to represent ones willingness to succeed.
i do plan on reentering that arena one day but not right now.
so when i use the name 1kid for myself it means im tryign to work towards my dreams
and honestly i hope it can mean the same for you as my social networks will be
geared towards imporvment, goal oriented, failure, and hopefully success.
a place where hopefully i can provide value to you in whatever way possible

Full Script
Today I will be talking about Motivation VS Discipline and which is better?
Now before I tell you my personal thoughts lets start with
What is Motivation?
the reason or reasons one has for acting or behaving in a particular way.
the general desire or willingness of someone to do something.
What is Discipline?
the practice of training people to obey rules or a code of behavior
the controlled behavior resulting from discipline
Now that we have gone over the defintions im going to admit to everyone that
motivation is a strong and compelling thought/emotion that helps us deicde to make
a change. Whether that be weight loss, working out, to go to school, a new life goal, etc
but no matter how motivated we are that motivation can fade away, especially
in times of weakness or trial.
what i mean is that you may have the motivation to eat better, but after a long
day at work you come home and want to snack on ice cream and oreos.
in that moment the motivation you felt previously fades away and you give in to
eating the very snacks you want to eat less of
that is where discipline comes in. having that "controlled behavior" where you
tell yourself to not eat junk food or make sure you go to the gym even when you
don't want to is the difference in becoming successful in you goals that you set
when feeling motivated.
now this isn't to say you shouldn't use motivation to your advantage BUT
discipline is what will help you make sure you achieve what you want.
for me it was going to the gym, in dec 2020 i saw a picture of myself and was very
upset with how i looked and let myself go. so the same day i signed up for a gym
membership. BUT it took my over a week to actually go and then another month to
make sure i was going regularly. A big part of this was that i wasn't being
discipline with myself. I would feel motivated to go the gym when looking in the
mirror or talking about "getting big" BUT when it came time for me to go workout
after a long day of work, chores, and just life i didn't want to go.
once i learned that i needed to take control of myself everything changed
and that is when i saw the most difference in my gym attendence but also
my eating habits as i worked/am still working towards weight loss.
my recommendation
start small to avoid burning out
continually remind yourself of what started this journey (your motivating factor)
be serious and real to yourself. go talk in the mirror and say
"you will be discipline with yourself" "i will go to the gym today"
track your progress towards your goal so that you feel rewarded with your
efforts and self restraint/controlled behavior. -

so drinking a gallon a day isn't necessary unless that is what your body needs to stay hydrated

I prefer the great value brand because it is cheaper ($3.48/12 Pack) and perfect
calories at 20 calories per cup popped/220 calories per bag.
this tastes great even as light butter, low calories snack that is really filling
and easy to make.
#2 - Light Greek Yogurt
I prefer the great value brand again because of costs but there are several brands
it cost $2.47/4 pack. each serving is 80 calories with 12g of protein.
I ate a ton of the strawberry flavor and now I am hooked on the peach flavor.
Super delicious and a good snack for any time of the day
#3 - Cheese Sticks (Light Low-Moisture Part-Skim Mozzarella Cheese Sticks)
Now these specific cheese sticks are only 50 calories with 6 grams of protein! this is a big deal to me compared to the usual 80+ calories cheese sticks normally are making sure i can keep my snacks as low calories as possible allows me to eat more during my day. These are gluten free great taste and for 120 calories you can eat 38 pieces!
That is what sold me on these good thin crackers was the ability to eat a larger portion while still keeping calories low.

I prefer to buy this mini box with 6 packs for $4.48 because is offers 3 different flavors. Asian Pears, Fuji Apple, and Banana/Strawberry. Each pack is 40/45 calories and I think it is a fun item to have around and easy snack to take with you anywhere
