They boast about their supernatural “spiritual experiences” to impress the believers and to win their trust; but Paul has something to say about this. How then, do the Macedonian believers, out of their extreme poverty, overflow with the wealth of generosity? It is just humanly hard to believe. They were really poor and persecuted because of their faith, in need, yet they gave generously, overflowing with joy, out of their extreme poverty.
