300 episodes

For over 5 years Ultima Final Fantasy took you on a journey through the entire Final Fantasy series; from the main games that you know and love, to obscure titles such as "My Life as a Darklord". Every game was played and reviewed, every major media release was touched on, and you got to hear all the stories, tangents, and life struggles of the hosts who went through it. For years the show was supported on Patreon, and you got to see goals reached such as multiple "Megadeth" Song Covers of classic Final Fantasy songs, a phone line, and Twitch streaming for the MMO's. All of these things, along with the Patreon Invite episodes, added so much to the show.

Now here we are at the end of our journey, the end of the weekly show (although occasionally returning to discuss some of the other FF-related games). The show, and our lives, must go on in a different fashion.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for these amazing years.

This podcast almost cost me my job

A stellar podcast for Final Fantasy fans!

This is a 'must listen' for both the die-hard and the more casual fans of the series.

The hosts love for the series shines through their ever hard work. Even though all the games aren't loved equally, every episode is top-noct.

The two hosts play through every single FF game while updating on the process with each episode.
When they finish (all over) a game, they release a review episode which is where the show truly excels.
The reviews are open-minded and very well structured covering the development of the game, story, music and gameplay.

I, myself have only played through a handful of the FF games and it's great to have these reviews to find out what I'm missing out on. The structure of the show makes it easy to jump to whichever episode that catches your eye. However I undoubtedly recommend listening to the older episodes to see the growth of the podcast. Both in quality and bond between host and audience.

While the review episodes are the highlights of the podcast, it's listening to the episodes in between that makes this show come together. With news, fun facts and general Final Fantasy conversation, each episode carries out great production value with unique self orchestrated jingles and on-point drops. Hell, the jingles alone is what's making me write this review.
The two hosts' loveable/infuriating personalities makes for witty banter and makes each and every episode a joy listen to.

And last but not least, their close relationship with Dave Mustaine and subtle metal references is a welcoming nod to your inner metalhead.

You will love to agree and disagree with Joe and Kaleb.

Tl;Dr: this is the sh*t

Quality Podcast for RPG - fans !

I discovered this podcast some days ago. I started listening and haven't stopped. This is a quality podcast, a product of hard work and endless hours of playing. The hosts are very likable and answer quickly on twitter and the forum. The forum is great by the way! I really like that you can reach them so easily. It makes the experience feel shared and you can even play the games together. I also laugh a lot which is a great quality in hosts which cannot be teached. It's worth noting if you start with the first episode you're in for a shock sound wise. Don't panic, it's just the first episode! After that it's one great ride and still continuing. I recommend this podcast to everyone enjoying your Final Fantasy or even just rpg's. Enjoy the grind!

Awesomeness in podcast form

I have recently started listening to this podcast, and I've got to say it is by far my favourite FF podcast. The hosts are hilarious, and have me laughing out loud, leading to some awkward situations at work when I listen to the podcast! I would definitely recommend that you check these guys out, the podcast is thoroughly enjoyable and I can't recommend it enough.

Also the Megadeth references make me smile, considering I am a guitarist and Megadeth is one of my biggest influences!
