In our season one finale, we bring it all home by discussing rest. In our #FireStarter we celebrate the Black women athletes currently catching hell for being the best at what they do, and having the audacity to need a break. 

We can all relate to being productive to the point of exhaustion, but do we all know how to get rest? Jamica gives us some game on expanding our understanding and framing of rest, and how important and impactful it is to your ability to function at your best. Hint: It ain’t just a nap y’all! Perfectionism is eating away at many of us but how many of us have identified the culprit? In this episode we go HAM on perfectionism, blank canvas syndrome, and the need to appear flawless when we know we all hella flawed. Bear with us this episode as we spend some serious time on our soapbox, and break down what it means to explore social constructs for market opportunities, but I won't lie... we get a little off-topic. Our surprise guests - capitalism and patriarchy - join us to discuss their role in fucking with our heads for centuries. And we try to help entrepreneurs see emerging possibilities as we take a crack at dismantling every construct we can think of.

In this episode, we redefine success for ourselves and make up our own broke-bitch descriptors of success so we can seem forever modest and humble in our listener's eyes. We talk about other metrics for success and swimming pools. 

In this episode, we introduce ourselves to our not-yet-existent listeners and dive into how we know one another, how the show came to be, and why we love one another so damn much. It's pretty gushy, but balance it out (see what I did there) with a conversation about what it means to us to achieve balance and how long you can actually hold on to it.
