Janeen advocates that you raise your children like a grandparent interacts with their grandchild! She humbly suggests to parents to dilute the heavy-handed guidance, the directing, the demanding, that conditions the child to only see life according to their parent’s shaping. She suggests we give the child more space to discover their true self by offering less influence, in the same way that most grandparents enjoy their grandchild, without taking full responsibility for them. And how about this for a thought! Janeen suggests we are part of our own ‘ancestoral chain’ with clear traceable scientific evidence that 7 preceding generations genetically live within us. Afterall, Emmagness Ruzvidzo was a skilled Marketing Strategist capable of building a company’s brand and positioning and her track record in Southern Africa was excellent. What could go wrong??
Well, on one hand nothing has gone amiss, because Em’s new personal business is now smashing it as a Marketing Strategist, Coach & Trainer. However, their journey since arriving in Oz raises many questions about the Australian manner of management. You see, Em was a girl born of tribal ways where the building of community was a central focus. Consequently, values such as connection with all persons, seeing the good in all, servitude, listening, ‘tough love’, valuing people’s opinions and thoughts abounded in Em’s management style. She held regular meetings at her home, where her fridge and food was open to all. They were equals, not sub ordinates. She built productive teams quickly. Her people not only respected her, they adored her, but this didn’t sit well with the rest of the executive team, whose status seeking, power laden, righteous, protect thy self ways, clashed with Em’s style … and her results.
