Locked On Marlins POSTCAST: Marlins Can't Get the Big Hit, Fall to D'Backs 3-2
The Marlins offense (3 runs on 11 hits) got every hit but the big one, leaving eight runners on base, many of whom were in scoring position, and striking out eight times.
Josh Bell singled in Dane Myers in the first inning to get Miami on the board first, but Arizona came right back to tie it in the bottom of the 1st on Christian Walker's RBI double and Lourdes Gurriel, Jr's double.
Sixto Sanchez gave the Marlins his best start of the season so far- allowing five earned runs on five hits in five innings. The bullpen was lights out as usual, with three relievers combining for three scoreless innings.
The D'Backs did not get a hit after the fourth inning. -
Locked On Marlins POSTCAST: Garrett Blanks D'Backs, Marlins Win Series Opener 3-0
Miami Marlins lefty Braxton Garrett pitched his first career shutout to lead the Marlins past the Arizona Diamondbacks, 1-0 in their series opener in Phoenix. Garrett, the twenty-six year-old lefty sinker baller, picked up his first win of the season, going the distance, throwing just 95 pitches, 71 for strikes, out dueling D'Backs Ace Zac Gallen. Otto Lopez hit a two-run single in the first inning, and Jake Burger homered and scored twice for the Marlins, (18-34) who have won eight of their last eleven games. T

Locked On Marlins POSTCAST: Luzardo Locked In, Marlins Beat Brewers 1-0 in Miami
Jesus Luzardo pitched eight brilliant innings, allowing just three hits, walking none and striking out four, to lead the surging Miami Marlins (16-34) past the Milwaukee Brewers 1-0 in the finale of their three-game series in Miami. Jazz Chisholm homered to lead off the bottom of the first inning for Miami, and that was all the offense the Marlins needed to win their 7th out of their last ten games.

Christian Yelich hit a two-run triple in the eighth inning to lead the Milwaukee Brewers past the Miami Marlins, 7-5 in Miami. The scrappy Marlins fell behind big early, but as they've been doing all the time lately, they kept chipping away. The two teams have split the first two games of this series. They wrap it up tomorrow night at 6:40pm ET.
