TRIGGER WARNINGS - Mental Health, being in a Mental Health Institution
Welcome to our podcast, ‘My Ordinary Life’.
In each episode we will be talking to some fascinating people who have one thing in common: they all have a learning disability.
In this episode, we meet Michael whose life has transformed over the past few years. He talks about his time in a mental health hospital. He reflects on his journey to having his own home and a job helping others.
Michael has a positive attitude towards life and shares his thoughts on making changes happen. He talks about the tough times, but also the good times. He tells us about his job as a Community Connector Supporter where he helps people with learning disabilities, and autistic people live fulfilling lives.
Some of our guests have speech differences and you may prefer to watch with subtitles on YouTube.
