This is part one of a two-part episode with Kevin Vallejos. Kevin is a graduate of St. Paul University in Surigao, with a degree in Accountancy. He was previously a financial advisor and is currently a freelance virtual accountant. He graduated from Seneca Polytechnic with a certificate in International Business Management and is pursuing financial planning as his second program. In this episode, we discuss his life before Canada and the reasons he decided to study here. We also cover how he processed his student visa by himself, his expectations of life in Canada, and the reality he faced when he arrived. Additionally, we discuss the preparations he made before coming to Canada and the struggles he has faced while living here.
