In Season 1, A Very Fatal Murder sends Onion Public Radio (OPR) correspondent David Pascall from New York City to the sleepy town of Bluff Springs, Nebraska to investigate the mysterious death of a 17-year-old girl, Hayley Price. Hayley was a popular, smart animal lover, with a bright future ahead of her. Everyone in town knew her name, and now everyone in town is a suspect. Join David as he works to understand why the initial investigation of Hayley’s death failed, and how a very inquisitive and Pulitzer-hungry podcast host might shed new light on the case.
Customer Reviews
Well worth a listen, but just not satisfying
Some really funny moments like making the victims parents read out ads, and the ads themselves a great. Every true crime podcast trope is mocked which is really good. But the overall storytelling is just a bit too out there and the end isn’t as satisfying as it could be.
So dry
This is wonderful. So funny and dry. It’s not everyone’s sense of humour, but if you love satire you’ll be laughing. So accurately done to compare to true crime podcasts.
Hilarious
If you've listened to true crime podcasts you'll appreciate this. Cleverly written with some really funny moments.
