Talking The Industry From Both Sides

Peter Hearn - Writer, Producer & Director

Peter Hearn - Writer, Producer & Director

In Actor and Agent podcast, we talk about the industry from both sides as well as being in two different countries.  We discuss stories, talk to guests and give tips from our experience.

This week Jen (No Snejina this episode as she's sunning herself - lucky duck!) interviews the lovely Peter Hearn. He's been part of the industry a while, started training as an actor and after trying (what seems like all the hats) his hand at many facets of the industry he's creating his biggest adventure yet.

We talk puppets, sourcing the talent, how his writing process evolves, the wonderful people he works with and the community he creates on every project.

We need your help to share FAR and WIDE! Peter is launching a crowdfunding page to get the project to where it should be. You can sign up for the prelaunch here: https://igg.me/at/frightseers and find out why so many creatives are scrabbling over themselves to be a part in this webseries!

Plus we also talked about Magic Mind and reducing your stress but increasing your productivity. We've popped this fab offer below:

Natasha Burnett - When Calls The Heart Actress

Natasha Burnett - When Calls The Heart Actress

In Actor and Agent podcast, we talk about the industry from both sides as well as being in two different countries.  We discuss stories, talk to guests and give tips from our experience.

This week we had the pleasure of talking to a multi-talented actress, who is a series regular on When Calls The Heart, Natasha Burnett!  We spoke last year (only just getting around to releasing these episodes) during a heatwave in Vancouver and talking through Natasha's experiences.

Born in Surrey, UK, Natasha is a British actress and singer.

She began her career performing in The Magic of Motown Show as Diana Ross (DIANA ROSS!?!) and played the role for four years before moving to Sydney, Australia where she turned her attention to film and TV. She spent the summer training at NIDA.  After a year in Australia, Natasha made the move to Vancouver, Canada.

A few of her credits include:
    - The Good Doctor
    - iZombie
    - Supergirl
    - Olympus

As well as many, many more.  We ask her how she got started, talk The Stage newspaper, the worst job she's had, and being a Brit in Canada.

    Talking Voiceover

    Talking Voiceover

In Actor and Agent podcast, we talk the industry from both sides as well as being in two different countries.  We discuss stories, talk to guests and give tips from our experience.

Is voiceover only about doing lots of different accents, impressions and voices?  Also, voice-over is easy, right?

We talk about how huge the industry is, the importance of training, and how important your natural voice is. The things you need to have in place to try and get into the industry and get booked.

How casting is now changing within the voice world which is outside of the scope of how your voice sounds.

The difference between the industry in Canada and the UK within the voice world.
