    Foundations

    FOUNDATIONS Luke 6:46-49 May 19, 2024
The foundation is the most important part of a structure. The depth of the foundation is influenced by external pressures against it.
In this parable, Jesus says the same is true for human beings.
In this parable, two men were doing the same thing, building a house. difference-the foundation.
1 Corinthians 3:11 For no other foundation can anyone lay than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ.
1 Peter 2:5-10 Jesus is the Cornerstone, the foundation to build upon.
The real test of your foundation is obedience to the commands of Jesus.
John 14:15 “If you love me, keep my commands.”
John 14:21 “Whoever has my commands and keeps them is the one who loves me.”
John 14:24 “Anyone who does not love me will not obey my teaching.”
Many claim to be Christians but in reality are just functioning atheists. Giving lip service to Jesus but living their lives as though He doesn’t exist.

The Law of Sowing and Reaping

The Law of Sowing and Reaping

    Galatians 6:7-8
Who would dare to deny that actions have consequences? Yet Paul wrote, “Do not be deceived, God is not mocked.” The truth is, we may give verbal assent to the Law of Sowing and Reaping but continue to excuse ourselves from its ramifications.
Everyone sows seed, what is produced is determined by the kind of seed. Paul says there are only two kinds-no exceptions!
You can’t sow seeds of rebellion, immorality, lies…and pray for crop failure!
Remember: Today is the father of tomorrow.
The Law of Sowing and Reaping is unalterable, and it affects everyone in every area of life, family, career and pleasure.
Deception is the root cause of sinful, indulgent lifestyles.
Remember: 2 Corinthians 5:10 “We must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each one may be recompensed for his deeds in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad.”
Three aspects of the Law of Sowing and Reaping:
    1. We reap what we sow. Galatians 6:8
Remember: Sin takes you further than you wanted to go, Keeps you longer than you wanted to stay, and Costs you more than you wanted to pay.
    2. We reap more than we sow. Matthew 13:23 Hosea 8:7
A small decision to do either good or bad, reaps a bigger crop for either joy or sorrow.
    3. We reap later than we sow. Galatians 6:9
Some crops we reap quickly; others take a long time. But do not be deceived—their season will come.
Every action, big or small, good or evil, is a seed.
Jeremiah 17:10 “The Lord will give to every man the fruit of his doings.” When we stand before God Almighty for judgment, we shall give an account not only of our own acts, but also of the influence of our acts upon each successive generation. What will your influence be? What will be your harvest? That depends on the seeds you are sowing today.

Engaging With Holy Spirit in God’s Calling and Anointing

Engaging With Holy Spirit in God’s Calling and Anointing

We must know the voice of God that moves us into knowing God’s call and walking in His anointing. His anointing brings authority. From His authority we live in power over Satan and Sin. Hebrews 11:35-39 2 Corinthians 10:4-5
Hearing God’s voice prepares us to live out His calling and walk in His anointing! Ephesians 6:10-18
Jesus is coming SOON! The world is filled with the signs of His coming. Matthew 24:3-7 Matthew 24:36, 40-42 Matthew 24:29 2 Peter 3:9-13 Revelation 21:1-8
A.W. Tozer, "God is looking for people through whom He can do the impossible. What a pity we plan only the things we can do by ourselves."
Samuel did not know God’s voice. 1 Samuel 3:7
Things that Interfere with hearing the voice of God.
Busyness-Constant activity can make it difficult to hear the voice of God.
Sin-When we allow sin to take root in our lives, it can deafen our spiritual ears and blind our spiritual eyes.
Spiritual Immaturity-Often we don’t discern God’s voice because we are not grounded in His Word.
Enemy’s tactics-2 Corinthians 2:11 Satan is at work to sow seeds of doubt, fear and confusion.
We must learn to distinguish God’s voice from the voice of Satan and man.
We must be willing to obey God’s call, even when it seems difficult or impossible.
We never operate in isolation. We must be intentional about developing relationships with fellow believers.
    Answering God's call is a process that incloudes;

    recognizing God's voice

    cultivating a listening heart

distinguishing between the voice of the Lord and the enemy

    obeying God's call

engaging in the Body of Christ

remaining faithful even when it is difficult.

Three Words That Changed the World

Three Words That Changed the World

THREE WORDS THAT CHANGED THE WORLD John 19:30 March 31, 2024
Easter reminds us that God plays by His own rules. He doesn’t always do what we expect.
Easter declares there is only ONE way to Heaven. Acts 4:12
Easter tells us: 1. You cannot reject Christ and have any hope of heaven. 2. You cannot look at any other religious leader for salvation. 3. You cannot combine Christ with anyone else or anything else. 4. You are not free to make up your own religion. 5. You cannot save yourself.
Easter demands a decision: Who do you believe Jesus to be? Liar Lunatic Lord
Jesus is the bridge between sinful man and a sinless God. John 8:1-11 John 5:24
Jesus entire ministry was to humans trapped in a cycle of destruction. Luke 7:37-39
To know freedom, our redemption had to be paid. Romans 5:8-10
That price was Jesus. Arrested at night, tried at night, beaten, stripped, scourged, and finally crucified. Isiah 54:14 Isiah 50:6 Matthew 27:29-31
From the cross He uttered with His last breath, “It is finished!”
Buried in a borrowed tomb, sealed, and guarded by a Legion of Roman Soldiers.
But on the Third Day-Luke 24:5 “Why do you seek the living among the dead? He is not here but is risen.”
God’s answer to death is the Resurrection! John 11:25
The death and resurrection of Jesus is one of the best attested facts in human history.
Are you ready to hear Him say, “Neither do I condemn you, go and sin no more.”
