It’s Wednesday 10th April 2024, in this evenings show we catch up on the last two matches, both one-nil home against Cambridge and Fleetwood respectively which somehow keeps the season alive with the ‘Pool still mathematically able to sneak into the play-offs.

‘Pool 1 - Cambridge 0Decent first half ,Carey great strike on 30Kousassi and Beesley combo showed a bit of promiseDire second half and lucky to winThey hit post, should have a pen and another Grimmy wonder save to thank for the win‘Pool 1 - Fleetwood 0CA over enthusiastically clapping Cods at the start - trying overstate a point?  Must win for Fleetwood really.First halfFW bright start and Omochere put clean through in the early stages, Husband nonchalantly dealt with it though after claiming for offsideA lot of blocked shots from both sides to start the game, one of Dembeles stopped by a FW players bollocks!22 GOAL Beesley, did well to get in front of Henegan.  Seventh league of the season.  Keeper disappointed to be beaten at the near post maybe?Byers should have scored with a low driven shot soon after, straight at the GK.  On his left foot though.Second halfByers slotted in by a great driving run by Lavery on the edge and side foots just wide.  Time for gorgeous George to be chipping in with goals?Bees denied from a tight angle, slotted in by Dembele after a great flowing counter attack move (when Byers was nailed but advantage played) Lavery pen. Great work again from Lavs and great save from LynchShould Lynch have been sent off when nailing CJ?And another great save from resulting rebound from free kickLonegran disallowed goal.  Thoughts on this?  Looked tight but flag went up quickly.  Knappers your view?Graydon should have equalised not long after, Grimmy great saveCA drags players over again for enthusiastic applause to away end.Knappers, do you think you’ll ever play Blackpool again and how do think things will end up at FTFC?Talking points
