We had the chance to catch some words from the Belfast born DJ and producer Max Cooper amid his ever loaded schedule. Kicking off his career as a DJ in the late nineties, he delved into production by the early noughties only to emerge as one of technos most stylistically identifiable producers. His idiosyncratic approach to production offers a loyalist techno framework whilst breathing fluid melodies into its structures. Having received a PH.D in Computational Biology, Max’s fascination with science, especially genetics, has been a fundamental inspiration for a lot of his music, giving it a unique grounding. With this mind, he released his greatly anticipated debut album titled ‘Human’ last March.

Without handing all power over to the machines, Maxes ability to infuse classic techno with an innate warmth sets him apart from the rest.

With his lush intimate solo compositions and intriguing creative collaborations the artist Ry X has recently come centre stage into the music scene with his fresh, almost naked emotional performances. Born on a small Island off the coast of Australia, he’s somewhat of a nomad, having lived all around from Berlin to the mountains of California. Upon signing with Stockholm based label Dumont Dumont with his debut Ep ‘Berlin‘, Ry’s distinctive husky and naked vocal performances have enthralled and captivated an ever growing audience.
From where he began with indie/folk, Ry moved to Berlin and was opened up to the world of electronic music through fellow musicians and producers. Teaming up with Frank Wiedemann in 2012, he ventured into more dance oriented music with their project ‘Howling‘, garnering support and interest within the electronic music scene
His most recent musical endeavour ‘The Acid‘, see’s him joining forces with DJ & Producer Adam Freeland and Californian producer, composer, professor of music technology Steve Nalepa. Their recent album ‘Luminal‘ displays the raw emotion of Ry X combined with eerie almost aggressive at times productions. A spontaneous union yet nothing short of perfection.

Anenon is Brian Allen Simon, an artist and the founder of the Non Projects record label. Constantly shedding the non-essential in search of a deep and individualized core, Brian’s music feels potent and refined, yet still raw. His work reaches audiences through speakers and venues where music is given serious consideration. An experimental artist using contemporary tools, Brian mines the intersection of electronics, jazz, improvisation and spiritual atmospherics. He is a native of Los Angeles.

Simon has performed internationally throughout Japan, Europe and North America, sharing the stage with the likes of Morton Subotnick, Julia Holter, Laurel Halo, Baths and many more. He is a distinguished entrant of the 2011 Red Bull Music Academy. Anenon’s releases have all been subject to critical acclaim, including a spot for Acquiescence as one of XLR8R’s Best Releases of 2012.
