Maggie is the author of the 2017 Parent's Choice Gold Medal winning picture book, Also an Octopus, illustrated by Benji Davies. The Mermaid, the Witch, and the Sea is her debut young adult novel, which was an NPR, Kirkus, School Library Journal and Book Page Best Book of 2020. Its sequel, The Siren, The Song and The Spy comes out September 2023. Her graphic novel, Squad, is an Ignyte and Locus Award nominated comic book, and her newest picture book, Love in the Library, has been named a Best Picture Book of 2022 by Book Page, School Library Journal, Booklist, and Publisher’s Weekly. Maggie is a founding member of Authors Against Book Bans. She lives in Oakland, California with her husband, children, and objectively perfect dog.

The only review you need to read
When you're waiting for the next season or the next book of game of thrones this podcast is the next best thing. They pronounce everything correctly 50% of the time, they can remember the names of every character if you discount at least 10% of them, they have the best game of thrones podcast if you discount the other two that iTunes thinks is better, in short they're the best damn thing to happen to bored game of thrones fans that don't have a new season to watch or a new book to read.

Was introduced to this podcast via Boingboing. I love the fact that they point out hilarious things in both the t.v. series and the books that I often skim over because I'm watching to engage with the plot. Thank goodness for the fact that they take notes while watching/reading!
I joined in during the second season, then went back and read the books, so having the podcast to compare chapters with was great fun.
An excellent podcast to keep your Game of Thrones obsession going during the off-season.
