In Matthew 5, Jesus begins the sermon on the mount, giving his greatest kingdom message in the scriptures. He begins by talking about how to relate to others and build healthy relationships in your daily life. In all our relationships, it’s easy for us to desire for more, but do our habits create a foundation that allows us to go the extra mile? Pastor Josh Kelsey in this Sunday’s message explains that you cannot have a second mile life if you do not know the importance of the first mile, presenting five points on how the first mile sets us up for the second.

In our second mile people series, we are investigating how the early church lived out the teachings of Jesus and went not just one mile for those around us, but two. It’s challenging to remain present with people, but we see Jesus’ presence as overwhelming acts of kindness to those around him.
