Darren and Matt are taking an excellent adventure through the 80's. Join them weekly as they break down some of the greatest (and some of the worst) films of the best decade in recent history.
Adventures in Babysitting (1987)
"I'll make it very clear. You slip me the cash, and I'll slip you the wiener!" They week the boys journey to 1987 to watch one of their favourite actresses of the 80's...Elizabeth Shue. Adventures in Babysitting is a classic film and one of the boys has always loved it but will it still hold that adoration 34 years on? So, grab a beer and see what you think as they get the babysitting blues, chase a playboy magazine and the shock they experience when they realise who plays Dawson!
La Bamba (1987)
"My dreams are pure rock and roll." This week on 80's Adventure the boys are pleasantly surprised by the 1987 film La Bamba which chronicles the life of Ritchie Valens. Join them as they break down this gem of a film that features Lou Diamond Philips in the lead role... and what a performance. So, get comfy and accompany the boys as they continue their 80's Adventure!
"Has anybody seen Mike Hunt?" Before there were a slew of American Pie films there was Porky's! So join the boys as they head to 1981 (or was it 1982?) and delve into the self proclaimed "Funniest movie about growing up ever made". As always grab a beer and enjoy! Feel free to get in touch about this or any of the other episodes.
The Empire Strikes Back (1980)
"Why, you stuck up... half-witted... scruffy-looking... Nerf-herder!" This week Darren and Matt go back to a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away.... Yes, the Empire Strikes Back is this weeks film and it is arguably one of the most beloved films in the Star Wars franchise. They do approach it from two different angles, one is a Star Wars fan and one is not... how will this fare? Grab yourself some Bantha milk and have a listen to episode 33 of 80's Adventure.
"I eat Green Berets for breakfast. And right now, I'm very hungry!" Yes, this week the boys are going Commando in their second Arnie film so far. A film filled with so many one liners, a huge body count and Schwarzenegger in his glorious 80's prime. So, grab yourself a drink and listen as the boys break it down and then as normal quiz each other on what they have seen.
Dead Poets Society (1989)
" No matter what anybody tells you, words and ideas can change the world." This week the boys talk about Dead Poets Society, a film neither of them had seen till recently. Join them as they break down a masterful performance from the late Robin Williams and continue their adventure into the 80's. As always feel free to get in touch and let them know your thoughts.
