Episode Notes
Decolonize Your Destiny
Episode #7- Decolonize Entertainment with guest Bryce Detroit

Music producer and curator Bryce Detroit is a pioneer of Entertainment Justice. Bryce Detroit discusses the process of decolonization using the arts and native legacies to produce, and promote new narratives and cultural literacies.

Decolonize your Destiny asks guests to share how they decolonize their lives. Decolonization is the process of becoming self-sovereign and this is where the power lies. It is the untangling of the colonizer’s limitations placed on our minds and bodies by unlocking and remembering the indigenous wisdom that lives within us all. Although the colonization process in the United States began centuries ago, the tenants of colonization have been normalized and woven into the social, economic, cultural, and political fabric of our nation.
