    Nahko

    Nahko, an Oregon-native born a mix of Puerto Rican, Native American, and Filipino bloodlines considers himself a citizen in service to the planet. Nahko left home as a teenager in search of adventure and self discovery. Armed with stories, a guitar, and a fierce set of ideals, he set out to bridge the cultural gaps dividing his own psyche.


    He began producing a public, musical journal of his journey toward personal, spiritual, and social healing, and thus Medicine for the People was born. Recently, Nahko discussed his successes, his philosophies, his music, and his life with Huffington Post, who called Nahko’s music “beautiful and stirring.” Nahko describes his music as a mix of hip-hop and folk rock with a world message.

    Dr Scott Sherr

    Dr Scott Sherr

    Dr. Scott Sherr is a board-certified internal medicine physician with an additional certification in hyperbaric oxygen medicine.


    Dr. Sherr is a member of the Undersea and Hyperbaric Medical Society and the Society of Hospitalist Medicine. He works as an integrative Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) physician in San Francisco and has a special interest in the use of HBOT for traumatic brain injury and stroke. He has lectured on these topics both locally and nationally.


    Dr. Sherr is also one of the few medical doctors in the country using an integrative approach to hyperbaric care (with targeted lab work, diet, and supplementation) to further advance HBOT’s ability to heal.


    In this episode, Scott will share with us:
    - what Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy is
    - its benefits for high-performance athletes, and anyone else
    - its effects on the microbiome

    Bill Giles

    Bill Giles is an immunobiologist and yoga teacher and for more than 30 years in a clinical setting - he has been helping people with their mental and physical health challenges. He founded, directed and still work in the Canberra Medical Ecology Centres as a clinical biologist focusing on immune-related illnesses.


    After completing several thousand case studies on the effects that defence chemicals in our vegetables, salads, fruits and grains, have on the human adaptive immune system, along with Rob de Castella, Bill founded the Deeks Health Bakery in 2004 which was then the world’s first totally grain and gluten free bakery—the products of which have helped many people across Australasia to live a more normal life despite their diagnosed chronic immune related diseases.
