Color Purple 85' vs Color Purple 23'

Color Purple 85' vs Color Purple 23'

Film remakes! Personally I'm sick and tired of them and hearing 'The Color Purple' was going to be one of those films disappointed me tremendously. In my opinion you can't out do an ORIGINAL. So after the media hoopla died down; avoiding and ignoring all things 'The Color Purple' I got together with guest friend Yahhila Yisrael and we watched both film versions!

Join the causal conversation as we discuss, review, & compare the 1985 Steven Spielberg version against the 2023 Blitz Bazawule adaptation. Did the culture truly need this classic and iconic American film retold? Does it work as a musical? Does the new cast bring anything different compared to the first? How do the two films compare to the book?

Life is what you make it! So cliche, but so damn true! As my global friend & listener share, share, share this episode; it's the one way to help me spread the love to our entire global family! Follow me on my social media account Instagram: FoxonFlix and of course don't forget to follow & rate this podcast, 5 STARS!

Until next time...Love, Kisses, & Hugs!

The Bible, the most bought book in the world; but what about the pages that were removed from the version most read today? 'The Book of Clarence' may be one of those stories missing from the "good book".

'The Book of Clarence', Written and Directed by Jeymes Samuel known for Netflix's 'The Harder They Fall'; is a moderate pace film that dissects Christian theology, belief and knowledge; plus gives us another preceptive on the journey of Jesus and those living during his time.

Listen & join the casual conversation and movie review with Fox Indigo and guest friends, Stacy Starlite and Face Gartrel, as the trio peel through the movie's different layers that tell the story of a man seeking to live a life of purpose no matter who he has to pretend to be to have it.
