Such a sad but compelling story

It’s a well done podcast which doesn’t go on and on repetitively to fill space and extra episodes. It’s such a heartbreaking story of Aaron’s tough upbringing and lack of roles models with a very sad consequences. Would recommend a listen.

A very thought evoking story. I am from New Zealand and had a ex professional
Rugby player (Called an All Black) as a son-in-law. He was born in Samoa then raised in a poor family in Invercargill NZ. I watched a very kind caring and thoughtful young adult change over a 14 year period into a narcissistic violent monster. He to signed contacts to play in Japan Ireland, France and the last one in San Francisco. His wife and baby left him after years of domestic abuse fuelled by alcohol.
I believe you cannot expect a happy ending for these players careers as they don’t have the skills to cope when the merry go round stops. Adding brain damage to the mix helps explain some of the behaviour.
