Welcome to the God Is Within Her Podcast. (formerly known as The Beautifully Enough Podcast!) This is a space for you, as an every day Christian woman, to GROW! Grow in your faith, grow a closer relationship with God, and grow your confidence in Christ! Every week, we will dive into the word of God so we fill our minds with God’s truths, to live, not as the world tells us to live, but to live boldly as Godly women who fear the Lord. DON'T PANIC RETURNING LISTENERS!! This is still the same weekly devotional podcast you fell in love with over the past two years. But God has put it on my heart to pivot and run with a new title that truly embodies the kingdom purpose God has placed on my heart: not to focus on our lack or feelings of inadequacies but to mentor and guide Christian women to realize we can grow a fierce and confident faith in Christ! Titus 2:3-7 instructs the female elders to become “teachers of beautiful things”. The message translation tells women to be “models of goodness”. When we are models of these beautiful things, we will begin to teach other women to love their husbands and children, to be self-controlled and pure, and to be set-apart as a model of a life nobly lived. And, of course, there is Psalm 46, where the title of the podcast comes from. Psalm 46 references the city of God, Zion, and his chosen people, the Jews. The psalmist is writing this song as a beautiful reminder that God is their refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore, do not fear. God is within the city, so the city will not fall. But it is also a promise for us, as women of God. Because of Jesus, God is within us every single day, through the Holy Spirit. And if God is for us, who can be against us? God is within her, she will not fall. And that is my prayer over you as you join me in this podcast, that you become a woman who is a model of the beautiful things of the Lord as you grow in your faith and embrace the promise that God is within you.It is time we start the word of God to conquer our fears and doubts that we aren’t enough or we can’t hear God’s voice, and transform into empowered women of God who can overcome any obstacle all in the name of Jesus! If you have been going through the motions of your faith and you’re ready for a mentor to guide you on your daily walk with God, you are in the right place! Is Your Faith Built on What You Believe? Or What You Can See Only?

Is Your Faith Built on What You Believe? Or What You Can See Only?

Hey friends! On today's episode, I challenge you and your faith. We dive into what the word faith really means. And I want you to become aware of any points in your faith where you are not led by your hope in the unseen (=God) but you're easily influenced by what you can see. Your circumstance. Your situation.

Is your faith strong when life around you is going great? And does your faith waiver when all you see is struggle and hardship?

Remember, faith is hope in what we do NOT see. Our faith should not be influenced by what we can see around us. That's not true faith at all.

    Feeling Unqualified Part 2

    Feeling Unqualified Part 2

Hey friends! If you are a listener from the very first episode, you would know that episode 1 of this podcast is titled "Feeling Unqualified". And it's an episode were I share my vulnerability and how, when I started this podcast, I didn't feel qualified to do it. I didn't feel like I had the knowledge. I didn't feel like I was a teacher of the word. I felt like there were so many others more qualified to do this than me. But, I wanted to be obedient to what God told me to do. So I did it anyway.

Here we are. Almost 3 years later, 1.5 million downloads later...you would think I would be over the fear of feeling unqualified.

    And you would be wrong.

Recently, I received a message in my inbox of someone asking me why only 3 years of really getting serious about studying my Bible made me qualified to teach. And this message really made me question myself all over again. And I thought about it long a hard and here is what I realized.

It's not the amount of years you've been a Christian that makes you qualified to share God's Good News. It's God's grace that He gives freely once you declare Jesus as your Lord and Savior that qualifies you! God qualifies you! And I want to bring encouragement to anyone who is struggling with feeling like "who am I to share about Jesus?" You are a qualified, beloved daughter of the King, sis. That's all the qualification you need!

Not To Us But To Your Name Be The Glory, God

Not To Us But To Your Name Be The Glory, God

Hey friends! On today's episode, I give you a reminder that our lives as Christians are to serve and honor God, not ourselves. It is very easy to get caught up into the "me me me" cycle. We can slip into a faith that isn't so much based on God being sovereign and holy, but one where God is simply here to serve me and make my life easier. But there are two things wrong with that ideology:
    1) We are never promise an easy and struggle free life as believers.
    2) God isn't here to serve us. We are here to serve Him.

So join me as we self-reflect on our faith and let's find those areas in our faith where, perhaps, we are a little selfish and need to fix our eyes back on serving Jesus instead of ourselves.

Clean vs. Unclean Foods: Do Those Laws Still Apply Today?

Clean vs. Unclean Foods: Do Those Laws Still Apply Today?

Hey friends! Today we are in Leviticus 11 and we discuss the Levitical Laws of clean and unclean foods. Do we still need to follow those laws today? And how did Jesus dying on the cross somehow make "unclean" foods clean? Man, what the heck does clean and unclean even mean?! I know this can be a confusing topic but if you've ever been curious about this, then join me!

ASK VAL: I Feel Like I Am Failing God When I Struggle With Depression

ASK VAL: I Feel Like I Am Failing God When I Struggle With Depression

Hey friends! On today's episode, we go to 1 Kings 18 and 19 and study the prophet Elijah (one of my faves!) as we tackle this lie that we are fed by the enemy: that somehow struggling with depression and mental health means we have no faith and we are letting God down. Have you ever thought that to yourself? If you have, this episode is for you. And we are going to shed light and truth to that lie so you can live more confidently in your faith.
