Going In(D‪)‬ Tailosive Podcasts

This is not the first time we’ve recorded this episode! Secretly in early 2017/early 2018, Nic actually helped me do a trial run with this show....and it wasn’t where it needed to be and is known for today. Yes! The secret is out, I don’t hate Nic! We just play into the persona of attacking each other on another well-known podcast. The dirty truth is, Nic is one of my closest friends. We talk a LOT about Star Wars. We dive into what it was like starting a podcast and having one of the most successful Apple podcast online today. Nic explains why he still got his Masters in Accounting, even though he knew he wasn’t going to be using it, as well as the overall value a degree still holds today. Also, Nic opens up on record for the first time as being a conservative during a time when it’s not popular to be one in the entertainment community. And I have to add this: Nic doesn’t like the Dark Knight movies! We also talk about Nic’s path to discovering essentialism and him striving to become a minimalist. All this and more!

After taking half a year off, this week we have a solo musician, Emmanuel (AKA "Manny"), who goes by Lost in a Memory. Manny talks about what inspired him to get into music as such a young age and why he does a solo act over a band. We compare notes on how we write a song and the struggles of finishing demos. All this and more! Also, Manny makes some of the coolest music videos this year and it's a real inspiration!

This week, we have the master of hype when it comes to introductions and reporting on tech: Vyyyper! I got to sit down with him and go over where the name Vyyyper came from, how he decided to get started on YouTube after being on the platform for a decade, and our feud/rivalry with Starbucks and who's the leader of that hype, plus much more!

To kick off the first season of this series, I wanted to sit down and get to know my good friend Drew a little bit better. We went over his upbringing, how het started getting into films and YouTube, why film school wasn't really on the table for him, and how life has changed since he's gone full-time. This is Going In(D) - A show about going independent. I’m your host, Randy Vazquez, and I talk with independent content creators of all backgrounds by going in their minds to understand how they think and why they do what they do.

This season, we’ll be getting extensive time behind some of my friends who also happen to be some my favorite creators. From the people I’ve worked with, to collaborations, to just mutual respect of the craft, I’ll be getting deep and personal in their backstories.

No fronts. No expectations. Just stories. THEIR stories.

In a market where EVERYTHING is saturated and it’s more about quantity over quality, it’s my goal to help bridge that gap in an honest way where we can understand those we admire from afar….maybe just a little bit closer…in a more humanizing way.
