Brooke Gladstone, co-host of NPR’s On The Media, took the Brooklyn 1.0 stage to talk about how the filters we use—filters that existed long before social media—influence how we design for our environments and each other.

At Brooklyn 1.0, a conference organized by Huge to talk openly about some of the biggest questions designers and technologists will be tasked with in the future, Andrew McAfee, a principal research scientist at MIT and the co-founder of the school's Initiative on the Digital Economy, talked with On the Media's Brooke Gladstone about the possibilities of a future without labor.

Ford, a writer who codes and a developer who writes, has spent over twenty years straddling the line between industries. But, as he explained in his Brooklyn 1.0 talk, in the future, defining himself will matter much less.
