On the final episode of this three-part podcast series focusing on the impact video games have on people's lives, this episode serves as a review of the first two, and a platform to analyze both sides of the argument over whether video games are bad for you or not. I want to help people make the decision as to whether the risks of playing video games or having their kids play video games outweigh the benefits, as I believe most people run with early conclusions from what they hear in the news or from their friends who aren't educated on all the impacts video games have.

On this second episode of the three-part series, I focus more on the frequent gamer and the booming industry of competitive E-sports. I spoke with multiple members of Marquette University's very popular Esports club as well as Orsolya Király, a research in Hungary focusing on gaming addiction and competitive E-sports. We dive deep into how gaming can become an addiction, what are some of the benefits of gaming for long periods of time, and how parents can manage their kids better in order to make video games a healthy thing rather than hurtful.

This is the first of a three-part podcast series focusing on the impact video games have on people's lives. Whether it is regarding people's brains, their social lives, or their relationships with others, I am examining the impact that playing games has on three different levels, those who play a lot, those who play occasionally, and those who don't play at all. In this episode we focus on casual gamers, and speak with two Marquette students plus a graduate student in New Zealand who did a research study on casual gaming and its effects on depression and anxiety.
