For people who were already thinking beings at the time, it was important for plenty of other reasons, like the Hubble space telescope launch, Nelson Mandela's release, the invasion of Panama, and the release of the first studio album by alt/experimental/funk band Primus, Frizzle Fry.

This year I've found myself on the opposite end of the Schmeevburger experience, as I have returning guests bringing albums to me that I've never heard before!
