    Dan Brodie

    Dan Brodie

Episode 5 has been a pleasure to edit; Dan Brodie can spin a yarn, and does so with aplomb.
We began to mic up, and Dan is already recounting stories about his childhood in the States, weaving a colourful
narrative that is reminiscent of his paintings. Talking in his studio we are surrounded by bikes in various states of repair, another passion of his.

Dan's exhibition 'Matinee' is currently showing at Hattbox on the edge of Northampton town centre.

    Josh Astrop

    Josh Astrop

Episode 4 is an impromptu chat with Josh Astrop at his first ever exhibition.
This is a joint photographic exhibition at Marefair Gallery in Northampton, with photographer Rebecca Swan, and is called "Complexion"
I asked Josh if he wanted to quickly discuss his work whilst we sat talking outside the gallery, he kindly obliged, hence we did it straight into the iPhone without mics. You can hear sounds all around as we talk, which I think adds to the atmosphere of the conversation and really gives it that spur of the moment feel.
I could tell you more about his work, but why not listen to the man himself, he does a far better job.
Marefair Gallery is located in the heart of Northampton town centre. There is convenient local car parking based on Freeschool Street or in Sol Central. Both train and bus station links are only a few minutes walk.

    Bill Pollard

    Bill Pollard

It's hard to put this weeks guest into words; Bill is as creative as they come, but to just say he's an artist does him a disservice. His talents are far more reaching than that, you could describe him as a bringer together of people, as a lot of his artistic endevours culminate in events that bring joy to many, which brings me neatly on to why we sat down for this podcast in the first place; The Lightning Bolt Drawing World Championship ~ LBDWC.
This event was dreamed up by Bill and simply pits anyone who cares to take part against each other in an attempt to draw the worlds best lighting bolt, on a path, in a park, with chalk -simple.
    the date: 08/08/21
    location: Northampton Racecourse
    time: 2pm
    1 stick
    1 bolt
    1 chance

We will hear more from Bill in future pods, so if you enjoy this one make sure you look out for the next one.

Also ~ please subscribe // rate and let everyone you know, know about this podcast.
