Huge benefit for me

My background is that I used to run cross country and 800m track but could never quite make it to the next level. I also played field hockey to a high level, but never got through to the top level adult stuff because of my fitness. I always ran into injuries or wasn't systematic enough with it. Take a hiatus for 15 years and I am back pounding the pavements training for my Navy enlistment, when I go down with a really bad calf tear from running 24k when my max long run was 10k. Jump forward a couple of months and $3k in treatment and not looking to repeat the exercise, I found this podcast.
I have found it extremely beneficial;
1) How to prevent future injuries by slowly building endurance
2) How to structure my program for my greatest benefit
3) Motivation to run
4) How to keep an effective running journal
There is bunch of other brilliant ideas in here. I have found this very worthwhile and I am using the ideas and information daily in my own practice and passing the information on to people I coach (variety of sports to representative level) before I go into the Navy.

From walking to running

I find Debbie's podcasts both educational and inspirational. As someone who elected to get off the couch and start walking to begin with, September 2010, I was looking for tools and mentors that would help me take that next step to running. Debbie does that - with clear, common sense Podcasts, laced with tips, and her wisdom gleaned from considerable experience on her own personal journey.
I have quite a bit of catching up to do as I have only recently discovered these Mojo for Running podcasts, but I'm up to podcast number 8 and find all of them full of good ideas. I also find the website useful and the Facebook page a handy place to interact with Debbie and fellow runners with similar interests and a wealth of experiences to share. I know Debbie is also a highly qualified coach and runs online coaching programs too - which on the evidence of these Podcasts I'm sure would be full of great ideas and wise guidance. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED 5 STARS - thanks Debbie!
