Join me, Charlotte (and the occasional guest), as I share my wide array of opinions on various movies, TV shows, and beyond (who knows where this journey may take us). I'm not promising a lot of research or facts. I'm not even promising consistent viewpoints, more-so just unapologetic word-vomit on the things I love to talk about, but that's all part of the charm and fun! So strap in, 'cause I've got a lot of opinions to throw out into the ether.

Episode 6 - Sweeney Todd
Well.... it's been a while. Unfortunately, life got in the way. Woops! Anyway.... In this episode (recorded a year ago) Katie and I get into the gory details of Tim Burton's 2007 rendition of Sweeney Todd. We talk through the abundance of wild hair in Johnny Depp and Helena Bonham Carter's acting history, the insanity of a Sondheim tune, and the absolute bleakness that is the story of the Demon Barber of Fleet Street.

Episode 5 - Rocky Horror Picture Show
After a brief hiatus, we are back with a good one! Katie and Hilary are back with me to talk about the 1975 cult classic, Rocky Horror Picture Show! We discuss whether we would like to do the time warp (again), our vehement and inexplicable attraction to Tim Curry as Dr. Frank-N-Furter, and the enigma that is Eddie's backstory.

In the fourth episode of Overly Opinionated, I go down the rabbit hole that is Hedwig and the Angry Inch (2001) with my friend Emily. We discuss Hedwig's genius one-liners and retorts, the emotoinal rollercoaster one goes on when seeing this movie for the first time, and the winding journey of self discovery and self love.

Episode 3 - Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat
Go go go [insert your name here]! You know what they say.... Listen to Overly Opinionated!! In this episode, Katie and I discuss the 1999 film version of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. We ponder how this film is geared towards children with some of the questionable nudity featured; we grapple with the fact that Joseph's family is fraught with conflict and all-around iffy people; we question the film's wig and costuming departments' choices when it came to our beloved Butler.

Episode 2 - The Sound of Music
The hills are alive with the sound of what?? The Sound of Music, obvi! In this episode, Hilary and I discuss the ins and outs of this 1965 classic. We gush over Julie Andrews and her absolute perfection, bitch about Rolf and his gross antics, and ponder about how the hell "My Favorite Things" ever came to be considered a Christmas song.

In the very first episode of Overly Opinionated, my sisters, Katie, Hilary, and I discuss Baz Luhrmann's 2001 movie musical, Moulin Rouge! We talk through everything from our personal histories with the movie, our general opinions, and more analytical observations, to the absurdity of singing in a giant elephant, prancing around with jello boobs, and getting krunk off of absinthe and hallucinating Kylie Minogue as a green fairy.
