    Numbers: Submission

    Numbers: Submission

Wrapping up our series in Numbers Pastor Jon led us through what it means to embrace living in submission to God. 👏 In 1 Peter we learned that our identity in Christ surpasses any circumstance. Submission is the choice to be emptied of authority and filled with God's purpose for your life, regardless of the circumstance. Society will tell you to live your own truth and build your own life but as Jon taught, the greatest good of life comes only from laying it all down and embracing your purpose before God. 💙

This week we encourage you to follow Jesus' example of humble submission both to God and the human authority in your life. Make it a point to give thanks to those who lead you! We love you Paradigm, see you next week! 🤩🫶🏼

    Numbers: Rebellion

    Numbers: Rebellion

This week we continue in the Numbers series! 👏 Pastor Chad’s sermon on Rebellion was a call to reflection. Rebellion is in us all, it has many sources, and it will always lead to ruin.

Are you unknowingly rebelling against God? Common sources of rebellion stem from jealousy, ungratefulness, stubbornness, misremembering, and being untrusting. Are any of these causing you to turn from God’s wisdom? We encourage you to find and listen to the good God-given authority in your lives to help guide you. Let’s align our hearts with His Word! 💙🕊️

    Numbers: Faith

    Numbers: Faith

Last night we dug into what faith really means, found in Hebrews 11. We learned that faith is obediently following God’s Word, regardless of our feelings, knowing that He rewards those who diligently seek Him. Why is faith essential? It pleases God, brings salvation, and overcomes the world. To grow our faith, we’re encouraged to dive into God’s Word, share our stories boldly, and walk closely with Him every day. We all have some kind of faith. What are you putting your faith in? 🕊️

”But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.“
    ‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭11‬:‭6‬ ‭

    Numbers: Doubt

    Numbers: Doubt

Tuesday night we continued our Numbers series by looking at doubt. Here are a few takeaways:
    1. Doubt undermines God’s promises, and is the lack of confidence or assurance that He will keep them.
    2. What is inside you will eventually come out. Let confidence, trust, and faith spill out of you instead of doubt.
    3. Doubt sees obstacles. What obstacle seems so gigantic to where you’re having a hard time believing God can move in that situation?
    4. Doubt is contagious. Why? It’s easy, safe, and popular.
    5. Doubt leads to despair, and despair impairs your ability to make rational decisions. Desperate plans come from despairing hearts.

Where are you doubting? Doubt is what separates us from our Heavenly Father. This week remember that He is in control, He loves you, and He is worthy of our trust.

Numbers: How to Speak Truth in Love

Numbers: How to Speak Truth in Love

“Truth without love isn’t true, and love isn’t love without truth.” 🌿 Last night’s message taught us that Biblical truth and biblical love are inseparable. Truth without love destroys, and love without truth deceives. So how do we bring the two together? In the major things, take action. Have a critical conversation including an observation, discussion, your concern, and your love for the other person. In the minor things, you must have acceptance. And in all things, have a love for others like Jesus.

”And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, but have not love, it profits me nothing.“ I Corinthians‬ ‭13‬:‭2‬-‭3‬

    Numbers: Critical Attitude

    Numbers: Critical Attitude

A critical attitude will leave you in a wilderness spiritually. Attitude — pattern of thinking developed over a period of time. Criticism is when you focus on the perceived flaw of another person without any intention to help them. Check out the layers of criticism: it’s petty, self-exalting, and sinful. Criticism is often rooted in unforgiveness, bitterness, personal failure, envy, jealousy or some resentment going on in our heart.

Reflect on Miriam and Aaron’s story in Numbers 12:1-12, where criticism led to dire consequences. God takes the criticism of others personally, and He judges it accordingly. Every sin is guaranteed to come prepackaged with some consequences. Choose encouragement and humility over criticism, for when you sow something, you will reap something. Seek cleansing and forgiveness from a critical spirit to draw closer to God’s presence. We will never reach a sinless life before heaven, but God is able to cleanse us of all sin. Confess it, renounce it, and you will find mercy. 🙏
