S3. Ep 12. The one about procrastinating and Prince Philip's death.

S3. Ep 12. The one about procrastinating and Prince Philip's death.

This week Claire and Lisa discuss Prince Philip and how sad they feel for the Queen, plus wonder if his death will heal the royal rift. They talk about Claire's husband being "jealous" of her trainer, why buffets are the ultimate food extravaganza, and whether they'd eat at a stranger's house even if they were a chef and it was a proper food thing. There's Thunder Force, the movie with Melissa McCarthy and Justin Bateman, and some book recommendations -- Lisa's pick is Spring Clean for the Peach Queen, plus Claire's obsession with Aldi continues as she waxes lyrical about their scallop gratin. And last up there's a big old chat about putting things off, and why it's bad for you -- and they ask the question what's worse -- disappointing breakfast or disappointing lunch?

S3. Ep 11. The one about laziness being OK and would you give your friend a kidney?

This week Claire and Lisa talk about laziness, and how it doesn't really exist. Hallelujah, finally it's ok to sit in your PJs all day. They discuss the new app getting you out of boring Zoom meetings, talk about the perfume that you can't smell (and whether they'd buy it) and Lisa's slept on a bed that changed her life. There's a Culture Club extravaganza which includes a Jerry Seinfeld book, the Anthony Hopkins movie The Father, the Isla Fisher film Blithe Spirit, the Aussie comedy Fisk and more, and some weird crisps from Coles that they ate in about 5 minutes. Then there's a chat about the idea that lockdown has destroyed the world's collective willpower, and they ask the question, are you really someone's friend if you wouldn't give them a kidney?

They discuss your social biome and how to nourish it and they ask the question, did we all know that at one time humans used to lay eggs?

This is awesome

Love this podcast. Claire and Lisa are hilarious. Suitable for all ages - I'm in my thirties and find that I'm looking forward to my fifties if Claire and Lisa's banter is a clue to this wonderful age!
