The Good Brothers are fully recovered from their trip to another universe with last week's April Fools Day review and back with a month of Justice League Unlimited reviews kicking things off with Season Three's premiere episode "I Am Legion." The hosts discuss the tone shift from Season Two's heavy plot focus on real world themes to a more classic good vs. evil story, the homages to the classic Challenge of the Super Friends show and the return of two legendary DCAU musical themes. Cal & Liam also speak about a rare miss when it came to some of the voice casting choices for the episode as well as some visual Easter Eggs that lead to speculation that one of the best animated films of all time could be canon to the DCAU! Ep. 303 - X-Men: Evolution - Strategy X
Tis the season for practical jokes and untrustworthy social media posts, but the Good Brothers once again aren't pulling your leg as they bring you a trip outside the DC Universe and traverse to another universe filled with Mutants with a review of the underrated 2000s cartoon X-Men: Evolution's pilot "Strategy X." The hosts discuss the difficulty the series faced as the follow-up to the much heralded X-Men: The Animated Series, how it compares to the uphill battle The Batman cartoon similarly faced, and how it shared a "vampiric" influence with Batman Beyond. Cal and Liam also chat about the sleek X-Men uniforms, American Football portrayed in animation, the show's theme song and how the live-action film influenced the look of the show.
