The New Hosts are Dire

Ryan Clements has slowly been incorporating aspects of Greg Miller's persona into his own since he started at IGN 4 or so years ago. It's embarrassing hearing him trying to approximate Miller in lieu of his own personality. The aspects of him that do shine through are his annoying political correctness which sees him often apologizing seconds after expressing an opinion. His Asiaphillia is also grating, as he won't hear a bad word said about the continent, whether true or not.

Arthur Gies is a wealth of knowledge and he knows video games. The problem is that he is just lying in wait to correct his co-hosts, often with a very terse "No" or "That's wrong". Gies has no finesse and it makes him appear arrogant and brash, with a side order of douche. Listeners to Rebel FM will already be aware that Gies is a passionate speaker, but his lack of restraint has him sounding aggressive and angry especially when iOS games are mentioned.

Not the worst IGN sponsored show (see The Gamespy Debriefings for that honour) but well worth avoiding until the current hosts are replaced. Thank you, goodnight.
