    Episode 72 | 24 - S1E1

“The following takes place between 12AM and 1AM on the day of the California Presidential Primary. Events occur in real time.”

Robert, Jordan, and Joe return in our 72nd episode of the podcast to bring you a brand new episode in the S1E1 series. We traveled back to 2001 to watch the very first episode of the hit television series “24” starring Kiefer Sutherland.

We go over our initial thoughts on the pilot episode, covering what worked for us and what didn’t. We discuss the attention to detail and the format of the show, along with the behind-the-scenes production woes as a result of the 9/11 terrorist attacks. We analyze Jack Bauer as the protagonist, discussing whether or not he’d be considered a white savior. We also talk about the first impressions of other characters, including Kim, Terry, Nina and Tony. Joe and Robert theorize on the story threads that were introduced, and we hear if they’re interested enough to continue the show!
