    A very interesting history about the fight to desegregate schools in Boston. Some progress has been made but we still have a long way to go. Mel’s book is still relevant today.

    This reading from Mel Kings’s book “Chain of Change” gives a fascinating history of Boston and explains how Black folks and other poor people have been disenfranchised while others succeed and “make progress.” Mel was fighting urban removal in the 1960’s and 70’s yet this is happening now in many places across the U.S. History repeats itself and many of us have suffered and been pushed out of our homes. We can learn, we can organize and fight back!
