    The amount of training you can do in a session, week or month is not as important as the amount of training you can recover from.

    Too often we all focus on how to maximise training, but we aren't asking the question,

    How can I maximise recovery?

    We've had a number of questions recently on Instagram and YouTube about both overtraining and recovery, so we thought those two topics go well together in a podcast.

    We discuss the common signs of overtraining for you to look out for, explain the science behind the different stages of training that could lead to overtraining and then, most importantly, how we can maximise recovery to ensure we keep progressing with our training injury-free.

    In this episode, we join forces to discuss and share our goals for the year ahead and give an insight into how we plan to succeed in achieving them by the end of the year.

    We know lots of you have set training goal and they maybe be similar or completely different to ours but that doesn't matter. What we hope you can take from this podcast is the process of planning your goals through better understanding yourself. We discuss the importance of self-awareness a number of times throughout the podcast. Knowing yourself better both physically and mentally to understand what your body responds to best in terms of physical training combined with what fits your brain and personality in regards to keeping yourself motivated, consistent and happy with the goals and progress you're making. We hope you can take away some of the themes we discuss and apply them to your own training and goals you've set, or if you haven't yet maybe think about why and how you might set some goals for the year.
