Coach, Ads Manager, Course Creator: How Ana Katz Overcame Fear to Build a Successful Business

Coach, Ads Manager, Course Creator: How Ana Katz Overcame Fear to Build a Successful Business

What fears are holding you back from going after your dreams?
My guest today is Ana Katz who is here to share how she overcame her fears and built a thriving business.
Ana is a Facebook & Instagram Ads Strategist who works with online course creators and e-commerce businesses that have an eye on the future and are ready to make a bigger impact. She focuses on getting her clients bigger results, major traffic, more sales, and customers who can’t stop talking about your brand.
She has some impressive experiences to share with us today. We’re getting into how she overcame the fear of putting herself out there, how she went from a corporate job to having her own business, how the pandemic led her to create a coaching program, and how she helped one of her clients go from 300 to 10,000 people on her email list in four weeks.
    On Today’s Show You’ll Learn:
What it was like for Ana to take the jump and leave the corporate world  How to overcome the fear of putting yourself out there Why getting results takes so much more than just running ads  The importance of nurturing relationships  The value of truly understanding your audience  The impact of showing up  How to overcome imposter syndrome Why you have to be able to say no  Not everyone is willing to put in the work to overcome their fears. But Ana is the proof that the work is worth it!
When most online course creators try to figure out what makes other course creators successful, they usually start by asking, “what are they doing?”
    Does that sound like you?
What you don't realize is that you're asking the wrong question. The better question to ask is “what am I doing that they're not doing?”
And it's often hard to answer that question for yourself because you're too close to your own business.
Feeling like you're spinning your wheels and staying stuck is one of the most frustrating places to be in your online business, especially when you see other course creators who are getting the success that you're working so hard to achieve.
Remember that you do not have to do this alone. There is a brand new community of like-minded online course creators waiting for you inside the Optimized CEO Community Facebook group. This is my brand new group and I would love for you to join us!  Head to www.rickmulready.com/group and I’ll see you inside!

Quick Tip: How to Deal with Imposter Syndrome

Quick Tip: How to Deal with Imposter Syndrome

I am back with another quick tip episode. These episodes have tips or strategies you can use to help you grow your online business so you can have a bigger impact and increase your revenue in the process.
Have you ever told yourself that you’re not qualified to be doing this work? That someone else could do it better than you? That you’re not good enough?
You're not the only one who has those thoughts and feelings. We call it imposter syndrome. Imposter syndrome is a psychological term that refers to a behavior pattern where people doubt their accomplishments and have a persistent, often internalized fear of being exposed as a fraud.
In this episode, I’m going to share some of the scientific research into imposter syndrome, as well as my own experience with it, and what I see from my students dealing with it.
I’m also sharing five things that can help you move past imposter syndrome.
If you want to hear more like this, I want to invite you to join my brand new Optimized CEO Community Facebook group. This is a Facebook group exclusively for online course creators, membership creators, and online coaches who want to optimize their businesses to six or seven figures.
If you're stuck in your online business, you cannot find consistent growth, and you're unsure about the next steps you should take, the optimized CEO community is for you. You can join at www.rickmulready.com/group.

How to Create More Profit In Your Business with Emily Sandberg

How to Create More Profit In Your Business with Emily Sandberg

Everybody talks about revenue, right? But what no one really talks about is profit.
I've invited on my bookkeeper, Emily Sandberg. In addition to being a bookkeeper, she's a Certified Life Coach through the Life Coach School. She has completely transformed how I look at the numbers in my business, and we’ve never been more financially healthy.
I asked her to share with us how she looks at online businesses from a financial perspective. We talk about how to plan for profit in your business, how much you should keep in your business account, money mindset, a new way to think about how you price your offers, and at what point you should consider bringing on a bookkeeper.
We’re challenging beliefs around what it means to have a seven-figure business as opposed to, a few-hundred-thousand-dollar business. Emily also shares an example of one of her clients who was doing $1.2 million in business, yet they were losing $20,000 a month.
    On Today’s Show You’ll Learn:
The financial mistakes that a lot of online course creators and coaches make  Why you should hire a bookkeeper before you think you need it  What you can be doing to stay on-track if you don’t have a bookkeeper yet  How to build profitability into your business  How to create new programs from a cost and profitability perspective  Why you should use forecasting to make better decisions for your business  How much money you should keep in your business account  Where the mind can get into trouble when we start thinking about numbers  We always see what's going on above the water. Just the tip of the iceberg. When you look at someone else’s business and start to compare yourself to them, remember that you’re not seeing what’s going on under the water, and sometimes it's messy. In order to find success, you need to focus on what’s going on under the water in your own business.
When most online course creators try to figure out what makes other course creators successful, they usually start by asking, “what are they doing?”
    Does that sound like you?

Quick Tip: Understand THIS for Better Facebook Ads Results

Quick Tip: Understand THIS for Better Facebook Ads Results

I am back with another quick tip episode. These episodes have tips or strategies you can use to help you grow your online business so you can have a bigger impact and increase your revenue in the process.

Do you ever feel like Facebook is working against you and your ads? Well, I'm here to reassure you that it's not. The secret is knowing how to work with Facebook to get the best results.

It all comes back to a principle that you hear me talk about a lot around here: simpler is better. The simpler you can set up your ad campaign, the better results you're setting yourself up for.

And the reason for this is Facebook's delivery technology and machine learning. You might know it as: the algorithm.

When you play nice with delivery technology, that's when you're setting yourself up for success, and that's what I want to share with you in today’s episode.

I will be sharing more about this topic on a Facebook Live in the Optimized CEO Facebook community soon, so be sure to join the group if you haven’t already. It's exclusively for online course creators, membership creators, and online coaches who are looking to optimize their businesses to six or seven figures. Join us at www.rickmulready.com/group.

Are you stuck on pricing your flagship offer? Is it too high? Is it too low? This trips a lot of people up which is exactly why I wanted to put together this episode for you today.
Last week we talked about how to create a flagship offer and why. If you haven’t heard that episode yet, go back and listen to that one first! It will set you up for this episode where we’re getting into how to price your flagship offer. This is going to be helpful for you if you’re just getting started in your online business as a course creator, or if you're further along and you want to redefine or even replace your offer.
I’m giving you ten things to think about when it comes to pricing your offer. From market research to human psychology, there are a lot of things that people don’t think about when pricing their offer….and these things can make your life easier!
    On Today’s Show You’ll Learn:
Why you should sell your program before you create it  How to base your pricing on the value that your provide Why you should take a look at what other people are charging in your market  Not to underestimate the power of perceived value  What it means to work backwards from how much money you want to make  The weight of how much individualized support your students are getting  How to use different pricing levels  The importance of factoring in your expenses  The process of overcoming objections  At the end of the day, you have to do what feels right to you, but hopefully these tips gave you some ideas to get started. Wow

Rick’s podcast has been in my ears coaching me on 11/2 xspeed on my daily commute for over a year, I’ve watched & rewatched courses & trainings I’ve bought off him... and to think it all started with me Googling what is a Facebook Pixel & discovering Rick and his podcast.
I guess I hope I’m getting brainwashed into automatic FB Ads success!
Being from New Zealand, I appreciate Rick keeps it real & laid back and it’s not hard core sales hype etc.
I am going to miss my binge listening when I am all caught up on the episodes. Thanks Rick, and keep them coming 👍

Actionable Insights for Marketers

I came across Rick when he appeared as a guest on Michael Stelzner’s podcast. What he had to say made a lot of sense and encouraged me to check out The Art of Paid Traffic.

I’m glad I did! I’m a subscriber and listen to each episode on the commute to work. I’m in marketing for a large automotive group, and - through an energetic tone that’s super easy to listen to - Rick provides a lot of insight and tips that I feel I can action straight away and start seeing positive results. I’ve even pulled over a few times to add to my to do list before I forget! Thanks, Rick. Keep doing what you do!

Awesome!

I've been listening to Rick's podcast for about 6 months and thanks to him sharing all his knowledge, I've opened my own Facebook Ad agency and it's going great. Thanks Rick!
